HEERF II Funding
The federal of 2021 (CRRSAA) awarded 麻豆精品 a second round of funding under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II). This $3.52 million in additional funding enabled the College to award our students grants to address continuing disruptions and economic challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, including course materials, technology, health care, childcare, food and housing.
The College awarded $3,194,900 in HEERF II one-time grants to 6,606 students and an additional $338,750 in HEERF II Student Emergency Grants to 309 students.
Eligibility for Federal HEERF II One-Time Grants
Eligible students (as defined below) will automatically receive a one-time grant based on their Expected Family Contribution (EFC), as calculated using the information provided on the (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Grants will be awarded as follows:
- $0-4,999 EFC will receive $550
- $5,000-$9,999 EFC will receive $450
- $10,000-$14,999 EFC will receive $350
- $15,000 EFC and above will receive $250
Students will receive the funds either by direct deposit (if currently enrolled) or by check (via regular US mail). The funds will be deposited or mailed out within the coming week.
To be eligible for federal HEERF II grants, students must be:
- Enrolled as a student at 麻豆精品 for the spring 2021 term.
- Have a valid EFC as determined by complete information submitted on the 2020-21 FAFSA.
- A U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen as determined by information verified on the 2020-21 FAFSA.
Students are not eligible for federal HEERF II one-time grants if:
- They have not filed a 2020-21 FAFSA.
- They are employees and/or their spouse/domestic partner and/or dependents are taking classes and receiving tuition remission from 麻豆精品.
- They are international or undocumented students, or their citizenship status could not be verified.
- They are high school students enrolled as part of our High School articulation agreement.
COVID-19 STUDENT EMERGENCY GRANTS
In addition to the HEERF II one-time grants, students who have experienced loss of income or added expenses because of the pandemic or are experiencing a one-time crisis that is financially affecting their education can apply for additional funding through the COVID-19 Student Emergency Grant (CSEG). The CSEG is funded by a portion of reserve HEERF II funds.
To be eligible for the Student Emergency Grant, students must be:
- Enrolled as a student at 麻豆精品 for the spring 2021 term.
- A U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen.
Students are not eligible for Student Emergency Grant funding if:
- They are employees and/or their spouse/domestic partner and/or dependents are taking classes and receiving tuition remission from 麻豆精品.
- They are international or undocumented students, or their citizenship status could not be verified.
- They are high school students enrolled as part of our High School articulation agreement.
